WASHINGTON (February 18, 2022) – The Howard University men's basketball team squares off against the Morgan State Bears (MSU) in the first-ever NBA HBCU Classic Saturday (Feb. 19) at 2 p.m., as part of the NBA All-Star weekend festivities. The historic event will take place at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

MATCHUP PREVIEW
The last time Howard and Morgan State faced off was January 22 and the Bison got a road win in Baltimore, 91-82.

Randall Brumant (Houston) led the way, finishing with 22 points on a whooping 10-of-12 shooting from the floor.
HOWARD
HU (13-10, 6-3 MEAC) enter the All-Star weekend with a five-game win streak.
Howard leads the league in several offensive categories, including points per game (78.2), free throw percentage (.740), and three-point percentage (.374).
Individually, graduate
Kyle Foster (Hampton, Va.) tops the nation with a 50-percent (88-of-176) three-point percentage while seven-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week freshman
Elijah Hawkins (Washington) sits sixth in the country with 2.5 steals per game.
MORGAN STATE
MSU (8-12, 3-5 MEAC) continues to fight to get up in the MEAC standings.
Offensively, the Bears are second in the conference for points per game at 76 with Malik Miller leading the team with 12 points per game.
Sherwyn Devonish leads the team in assists with 3.2 per game.
LAST TIMEOUT
Monday (Feb. 14), the Bison held off Maryland Eastern Shore for a Valentine's Day win on the road in Princess Anne, 77-71.
Foster led the way, finishing with 22 points on 62-percent shooting (5-of-8) from behind the arc.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
