Last season (Nov. 26, 2021), the two teams met for the first time at Burr Gymnasium and the Governors came away with a hard-fought 69-67 win.

BISON FOOTNOTES

But the game takes on more than just a nonconference game between the two schools:  there is some familiarity here.

Austin Peay head coach Nate James and Howard head coach Kenneth Blakeney are former members of the Duke University men's basketball family as both players and coaches.

LAST TIMEOUT

The Bison (3-5) are coming off a 96-73 loss to Belmont in the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands.  Howard has been able to score but their opponents are shooting over 52-percent from the field, including almost 50-percent from the three-point line.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

Howard continues its arduous early season road trek when it travels to New Haven, Conn., to take on Yale Wednesday (Nov. 30) at 7 p.m.
