Howard graduate pitcher has been named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola announced by MEAC Conference. 

Coppin State Ashley Weimann was named player of the week, pitcher Vanessa Carrizosa is the MEAC Rookie of the Week. 

Carr (P, 5-2, Gr., Phoenix, Ariz.) went 2-0 during the week with an ERA of 0.78. She struck out 20 batters, including 12 against North Carolina A&T State, and had a one-hitter against North Carolina Central. Carr broke the school record by throwing 12 strike-out. 

Ayana Sallee was received honorable mention after batting .461 while going 6-for-13 with one double, two RBIs, and three runs scored as the Bison went 3-0. 

Howard will conclude the season in Baltimore versus Northern Division foe Coppin State for a pair of 1 pm doubleheaders on April 26 and April 28.
