WASHINGTON, DC -- Howard University opens up Mid-Eastern Conference (MEAC) Northern Division play versus Delaware State University Lady Hornets, Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13, Saturday's doubleheader begins at 1:00 pm, Sunday's doubleheader begins at noon, the four-game series will be played at Nationals Youth Park in Washington, D.C.

The Lady Hornets leads the series 13-24. At one point DSU won 12 straight games. The two squads split the last six games.Â

Delaware State (2-4, 0-0 MEAC) comes into the weekend matchup losing a weekend series to UMBC 3-1.

DSU's Mayanah McIntosh is ace for the Lady Hornets, McIntosh recorded 3.82 ERA and 13 strikeouts.Â
