WASHINGTON (December 17, 2021) – Howard University men's basketball team travels to Newark, N.J., to square off against long-time rival North Carolina A&T State (NCAT) for the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic. Saturday's (Dec. 18) event is nationally televised on TNT, scheduled for a 4 p.m. tipoff inside the Prudential Center.

Wednesday's clash will be the latter part of the doubleheader with Delaware State facing North Carolina Central in the opening.

Howard (5-5) enters the weekend looking to bounce back from a tough loss against crosstown foe Georgetown, 85-73.

Kyle Foster (Hampton, Va.) spearheads the Bison attack, leading the club in scoring (14.3 ppg) while ranking third in the nation with a 54-percent (35-of-65) shooting percentage.

Elijah Hawkins (Washington) sits fifth in the country with 6.9 assists per game.
NORTH CAROLINA A&T STATE
NCAT (4-8) rolls in after a big road win at East Tennessee State, 69-67, snapping its brief two-game slide.
Marcus Watson and Demetric Horton provide the one-two punch for the Aggies, averaging a combined 23.5 ppg.
LAST TIMEOUT
Wednesday (Dec. 15), Foster dropped a career-high 26 points, including seven three-pointers, but his effort was not enough as the Bison fell short, 73-85, to Georgetown.

Tai Bibbs (Chicago) was also a key player, contributing 16 points and two assists.
