The Howard University men's basketball team continues to fight through the second half of the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) season with a Saturday, Feb. 22, 4 p.m. tip-off against North Carolina A&T Bulldogs in the Corbett Sports Center.
After, playing the month of January in the DMV, Howard will play five consecutive road games in February and will conclude the regular season versus Maryland-Eastern Shore (Mar. 2) and Delaware State (Mar. 5) before heading to Norfolk, Virginia for the 2020 MEAC Basketball Tournament March 10-15.
In Saturday's matchup, Howard will look to break a 14-game losing streak and break North Carolina A&T 24-home game winning streak.
The Bison returns to action after a bye week, while the Bulldogs come off a 77-60 dominating win over arch-rival North Carolina Central Monday, Feb. 17. NCAT's Kameron Langley posted another triple-double, the only player in the country to record more than one triple-double this season.
It's a record watch for Howard's CJ Williams. Williams is four points shy from becoming the MEAC's all-time leading scorer, after recording 2,272 career points in four seasons.
Howard currently leads the conference in three-point percentage (33.6 percent) thanks to the play of freshman Wayne Bristol Jr. (.426) and senior Nate Garvey (.383 percent).
The Bison leads the conference in assist/turnover ratio and third in three-pointers made.
