Bristol Named MEAC Rookie of the Week

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced its weekly honor roll for men's basketball and North Carolina A&T State University junior guard Kameron Langley has captured the top honor, being tabbed MEAC Player of the Week. Meanwhile, sophomore center Brendan Medley-Bacon of Coppin State University is this week's Defensive Player of the Week and Howard University freshman forward Wayne Bristol Jr. is the Rookie of the Week.


Bristol Jr. (F, 6-6, Fr., Upper Marlboro, Md.) averaged 21.0 points and 3.5 rebounds as the Bison fell to Florida A&M and Coppin State. He had a career-high 28 points, including six 3-pointers, in addition to three rebounds against the Eagles, while netting 15 points and grabbing four boards against FAMU.

Bristol Jr. currently ranks 16 in the conference averaging 11.5 points a game and third in 3-point percentage averaging .418 a game.
