Howard Lacrosse Resumes ASUN Play Friday and Sunday

HU hosts Stetson; Bison visit Kent State

WASHINGTON (April 11, 2019) – Howard University women's lacrosse resumes league play Friday (April 12) and Sunday (April 14).
 
HU hosts Stetson (SU) inside Greene Stadium Friday afternoon, starting at 1 p.m. Sunday, the Bison travel to Kent, Ohio where the Kent State (KSU) Golden Flashes await. Match time is slated for 11 a.m.

LAST TIMEOUT
 
Last weekend, HU dropped a pair of home matches against Detroit Mercy and Central Michigan.
 
They lost to Detroit Mercy, 23-0, Friday (April 5).
 
Sunday (April 7), the Bison fell, 20-1, to Central Michigan. Sophomore Lailah Robey (Chesapeake Beach, Md.) scored HU's lone goal in the loss.

HOWARD
 
Howard (0-8, 0-2 ASUN) looks to get in the win column with four regular season contests remaining.
 
HU's offense is led by second-year midfielder Jillian Jones (Fresno, Calif.) with a team-leading 10 goals while Robey is second on the team (seven goals). Defensively, freshman Andrea Fievre (Snellville, Ga.) has recorded 50 saves in eight matches this season.
 
STETSON
 
Stetson (2-9, 1-2 ASUN) looks to bounce back after a tough home loss against Coastal Carolina, 18-11. Currently, SU holds the fourth and final spot in the ASUN Championships with only two league contests remaining after this weekend.
 
Shelby Lehmann and Riley Reagan spearheads the Hatters' attack, combining for 84 points (32 goals and 52 assists).
 
KENT STATE
 
KSU (1-12, 0-3 ASUN) will host its first ever conference matches this weekend, starting Thursday (April 11) versus Kennesaw State.
 
Megan Kozar and Lluna Katz lead the Flashes' offense, which has scored 103 goals on the season. In goal for Kent State, Grace Merrill posts 134 saves in 13 starts this season.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
Howard's road swing continues with a pair of matchups in South Carolina.
 
Thursday (April 18), HU goes to Spartanburg, S.C. to face Wofford. Match time is set for 5 p.m.
 
Two days later (April 20), the Bison meet Furman at 11 a.m.
