WASHINGTON (March 5, 2019) – Howard University women's lacrosse continues its four-match road swing at crosstown foe American (AU) Wednesday (March 6). The action starts 3 p.m. at the William | Jacobs Recreational Complex.

Wednesday (Feb. 27), the Bison dropped its season opener at Bucknell, 23-0.
Sophomore
Lailah Robey (Chesapeake Beach, Md.) had a match-high seven draw controls, followed by freshman
Sydney Saunders (Baltimore) with five.
MATCHUP PREVIEW
Wednesday's matchup was originally scheduled for Feb. 20 but was moved due to inclement weather in the D.C. area.
Also, the contest will be the second meeting between Howard and American with the Eagles taking the inaugural bout, 19-8. Sophomore
Jillian Jones (Fresno, Calif.) registered her first collegiate goal in a losing effort.

Kiyanna Jackson (Upper Marlboro, Md.) continue to development in their first season for the Bison.
Another newcomer to watch is
Andrea Fievre (Snellville, Ga.), who caused two turnovers and scooped up two ground balls in her first collegiate match against Bucknell.
AMERICAN
AU (2-3) looks to build on Saturday's 21-3 victory over Presbyterian.
In the five matches, American averages 11.4 goals and 4.6 assists. Sophomore Emma Vinall leads the Eagles with 15 goals, followed by fellow classmate Kendall Goldblum (14).
Defensively, senior goalkeeper Fiona Geier has recorded 35 total saves for the Eagles.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On March 15, HU continues its road trip in Dover, Del. where they face the Delaware State Lady Hornets. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
