WASHINGTON - Howard University softball will visit crosstown rival, George Washington University, for a doubleheader at GW Softball Field on the Mount Vernon Campus is set for noon.
LAST TIME OUT
Howard is 3-14 on the season after taking their performance last weekend at the 2019 District Classic hosted by Georgetown University. The Bison played Bucknell University and Brown University. The Bucknell Bison defeated the Howard Bison, 11-3. Harvard University Crimson defeated the Bison, 10-2.
Rightfielder
Kamryn Tillman provided the offense for Howard with a two-run home run in the third inning. Tillman went 3-for-9 with three RBIs, batting .333 average over the weekend.
Mackenzie Soper went 3-for-6, batting .500 average with a double. Following their game against Bucknell, the Bison were shut out 9-0 against Brown University. The final game of the weekend against Georgetown was canceled due to inclement weather.
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
GW is finding much success on their home field, going 4-0 on the Mount Vernon Campus. They won four of their five games last weekend at the Carolina Classic. The team is 11-3 on the season.
The Colonials' Sierra Lange leads the A-10 in wins, ERA, strikeouts, innings pitched and games completed. She's also the conference's leading hitter.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The Bison will travel to Rutgers University for a double header on March 12. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
