WASHINGTON (September 24, 2018) --- The Howard University volleyball team captured a 3-0 sweep over North Carolina A&T Sunday evening.
The Bison defeated the Aggies in three sets with scores of 25-19, 25-22 and 25-17 to pick up Howard's third home game win of the season. HU's record is now 7-8.
Kira Porter led the team with 11 kills and an ace.
Courtney Dalton and
Marcelle Butler had nine kills.
Tamia Dockery tallied 38 assists, seven digs, two aces, and a block.
Jurnee Tipton posted seven kills.
Olubunmi Okunade contributed seven kills, a dig and a block.
Fola Wilson had 17 digs.
Howard volleyball returns to action Friday, September 28 for the first conference game of the season. The Bison will face the Morgan State Bears in Burr Gym at 2 p.m. for Organization Night.
