PRINCETON, N.J. (May 12, 2018) – Day One at the IC4A/Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships saw Howard University Men's & Women's Track and Field squads compete in only three events: women's long jump; women's 800-meter run; and women's 4x100 meter relay. Among those events, the Bison captured two top three finishes on the day.
Individually, senior standout
Dominique Cleggett earned a third-place finish in the women's long jump, leaping over 19 feet (6.01 meters). The New Orleans native wrapped up her weekend as she prepares for NCAA East Regionals in Tampa, Fla.
The women's 4x100 meter relay team of junior
Aliyah Hale, sophomore
Uchechi Onuoha, and freshmen
Zachyre Lynn Lane and
Jessika Gbai took third overall after winning their heat with a season-best 46.10 mark.
Second-year runner
Sydney Benson participated in the women's 800-meter run where she clocked in at 2:12.46.
