WASHINGTON (April 5, 2018) – Coach
Karli Brentlinger and the Howard University Women's Lacrosse team start its four-match road swing in Michigan against Central Michigan (CMU) and Detroit Mercy (UDM).
Due to incoming inclement weather, Friday's match at CMU has been moved up to 3:30 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. Fans can follow all the action via
live video.
Two days later (April 8), the Bison take on Detroit-Mercy on
ESPN3. Match time is set for 11 a.m. HU faithful can also follow the action via
live stats.

HOWARD
HU (1-5) looks to break its four-match slide before resuming league play in Florida. Senior Midfielder
Natia Warren ranks fourth in the Atlantic Sun (ASUN) in goals scored (22) while placing 17
th in the nation with 3.6 goals per game. Fellow classmate
Amerra Sheckles tops the conference in saves per game (11.33), which is fifth in the country.
CENTRAL MICHIGAN
Entering the weekend, Central Michigan (5-5) has won three of their last four games, including their inaugural Southern Conference (SoCon) victory, 15-13, over Mercer (March 29). Dominique Hamman recorded a program-record 17 saves in the midweek showdown while Anna Schoonover was named the SoCon Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday (April 3).
DETROIT MERCY
Detroit Mercy (4-6) dropped its inaugural SoCon match in a double OT thriller against Mercer, 17-16. UDM ranks second in the league in scoring (11.5 goals per game), led by the trio of Kaitlyn Wandelt, Jordyn Beam, and Morgan Girardi. All three Titans are averaging two or more goals per game.
LAST TIMEOUT
Last Thursday (March 29), the Bison fell in its ASUN opener against Old Dominion, 20-8, at Greene Stadium. Freshman
Jillian Jones led the way with a season-high four goals while Warren added two in a losing effort.
Saturday (March 31), HU dropped its conference match to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, 20-2, at Greene Stadium. Warren scored two unassisted goals whereas Sheckles registered a match-high 10 saves in the loss.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Howard continues its road stretch in Florida with a pair of ASUN matchups.
On April 13, HU squares off against Jacksonville. Match time is slated for 4 p.m.
Two days later (April 15), the Bison meet Stetson in Deland, Fla. The action begins at noon.
