December 18, 2018 --- The Howard University women's basketball team will host Mercer University on Tuesday, December 18 at 7 p.m.

Jayla Thornton led the Bison in scoring. Both had 16 points. Edmond collected the double-double adding 10 assists plus five rebounds. Freshmen
Krislyn Marsh and
Gia Thorpe also scored double figures with 14 and 11 respectively. Marsh added four rebounds. Thorpe had six rebounds. Collectively, Howard shot 48.6 percent from the field and 64.7 percent from the free throw line.

This is the third meeting between Mercer and Howard and the first to be held at Howard. The Bison are 0-2 in the series against the Bears. In their last meeting Mercer defeated Howard, 70-44.
