Howard Women’s Basketball Begins Four Game Road Stretch at Niagara

December 1, 2018 --- The Howard University women's basketball team will begin a four game road stretch on Saturday at Niagara University. The tip-off time is 3 p.m. in Gallagher Center.

LAST TIMEOUT
The Bison are now 4-2 after winning their last two games. The final results for those games had the Bison with a double digit point victory and holding their opponents to under 60 points.  In the most recent game versus the George Mason Patriots, the Bison shot 46.8 percent from the field compared to 31.9 percent for the Patriots. 
Freshman Krislyn Marsh had 26 points and 14 rebounds in the game against the Patriots. Junior guard Sarah Edmond had 18 points, six assists and three rebounds. Jayla Thornton contributed 11 points.

GAME PREVIEW
The Purple Eagles are off to a 1-5 start for the season. Most recently they were defeated by St. Joseph's, 68-54. Their only win this season was against the Morgan State Bears. Niagara returns eight letterwinners this year. Currently, junior Jai Moore leads the team in scoring. She averages 13.3 points per game. Fellow junior Magie McIntyre follows, averaging 10.5 points per game. This is the second MAAC opponent that Howard has faced this year.
