WASHINGTON (October 18, 2018) – After picking up a solid home win versus Delaware State, the Howard University football team look to keep the momentum going when they travel to Baltimore to face Morgan State (MSU). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Hughes Stadium.

LAST TIMEOUT
Saturday (Oct. 13), the Bison came away with a decisive 55-13 victory over Delaware State in their home opener at Greene Stadium.
HU was clicking on all cylinders, racking up 529 yards on offense.
"I thought we played well on all three phases," said Howard Football head coach
Mike London on Tuesday's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) weekly teleconference. "We jumped out and scored 41 points in the first half. The defense played extremely well. We won all four phases on special teams. It was a great conference win."
Junior wide receiver
Jequez Ezzard (College Park, Ga.) had another outstanding performance, registering 191 receiving yards on four catches with three TDs. As a result, he became the first Bison in school history to produce back-to-back three touchdown games.

Aaron Walker each had six tackles in the victory.

Saturday's clash will the 72
nd meeting between Howard and Morgan State with the Bears leading the all-time series, 43-27-1.
Last year, coach London and the club put up an impressive performance with a 39-14 win MSU on HU Homecoming.
Quarterback
Caylin Newton (Atlanta) spearheaded the Bison attack with his arm and legs. The Atlanta native had a career-high four total touchdowns, two passing and two rushing, in the victory.
Defensively, Howard had seven pass breakups, six tackles for loss, and two sacks. Senior
Dominique Smith (Cincinnati) had a game-high 10 tackles (seven solo), a tackle for loss and fumble recovery. Sophomore
Bryan Cook (Cincinnati) provided six tackles, three pass breakups and two INTs in the victory.
HOWARD
Entering the weekend, Howard (2-3, 2-1 MEAC) ranks among the nation's most explosive offenses. Nationally, the Bison are 7
th in total offense (513.6 ypg) and 5
th in passing (336.6 ypg).
Individually, Ezzard is among the top deep-threats in the country, ranking top 10 in several categories, including receiving yards per game (1st), yards per reception (1st), receiving TDs (3rd) and all-purpose yards (7th).
"He loves football," said London on Ezzard. "He's a very humble man. He's very athletic with deceptive speed. He's got great hands. He brings a lot to the table."
Newton provides the dual threat for Howard, topping the MEAC in total offense (380.4 yards per game).
MORGAN STATE
Before the season, seven Morgan State (2-4, 1-1 MEAC) football players were named to the 2018 MEAC preseason team.
Senior defensive lineman Malachi Washington and junior linebacker Rico Kennedy were first-team selections. Senior offensive linemen Joshua Miles and Matthew Thompson were third-team picks, along with junior wideout Manasseh Bailey, junior linebacker Ian McBorrough, and senior defensive back Carl Garnes.
"They're very experienced [on offense]," London stated. "They're offensive line is very big. They're quarterback is very athletic. Defensively, they're No. 1 in sacks, interceptions and red zone defense. The atmosphere is going to be electric."
First-year head coach Ernest T. Jones returns 16 starters from a year ago.

Saturday (Oct. 27), Howard starts a brief two-game home stand against South Carolina State on HU Homecoming. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. at Greene Stadium.
