Ty Grace and the Howard University Women's Basketball team return to the Burr where they will square off against North Carolina Central (Jan. 20) and North Carolina A&T State (Jan. 22).
Saturday's showdown versus the Lady Eagles start 2 p.m. whereas Monday's clash begins 5:30 p.m.

HOWARD
Howard (6-11, 2-2 MEAC) seeks a pair of home victories after winning twice on the road.
Sophomore
Sarah Edmond leads the squad in scoring (13.8 ppg) while fellow classmate
Ayonna Williams, reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, averages 7.8 points and 4.4 rebounds. Defensively, second-year center
Jayla Myles records a team-leading 1.8 blocks per game, which is second in the league.
NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL
NCCU (5-12, 3-1 MEAC) is off to their best start in league play through four games since joining the conference in 2011-12. Sophomore Paulina Afriyie was named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week for a second straight week after averaging a double-double with 12.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in home wins over Coppin State (CSU) and Morgan State (MSU).
NORTH CAROLINA A&T STATE
Before Monday's showdown, the Aggies (8-7, 3-0 MEAC) face Maryland Eastern Shore on the road. North Carolina A&T State (NCAT) earned two home wins against CSU and MSU where they rallied in both contests. The duo of C'Coriea Foy (13.9 ppg) and Kala Green (12.8 ppg) leads the Aggies in scoring while Alexus Lessears is the top rebounder at 9.1 boards per contest.
LAST TIMEOUT
HU picked up a pair of road victories at South Carolina State (Jan. 13) and Savannah State (Jan. 15).
On Jan. 13, the Bison earned its first MEAC victory of the season with a 68-58 decision at South Carolina State. Edmond registered a game-high 18 points and six boards while Williams flirted with a double-double, 12 points and nine rebounds, in the win.
Two nights later (Jan. 15), Howard netted a season-high 87 points as they rolled past Savannah State, 87-59, inside Tiger Arena. Eleven Bison scored in the contest, led by freshman
Curstyn Moore with a game-high 19 points.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Jan. 27, HU women travel to Princess Anne, Md., where the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks await. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
