WASHINGTON (December 28, 2017) – After a three-game road swing, Coach
Ty Grace and the Howard University Women's Basketball team return to Burr Gymnasium where they will wrap up 2017 with a pair of home contests.
On Dec. 29, HU hosts Campbell (CU) at 5 p.m. Two days later (Dec. 31), the Bison face Brown on New Year's Eve. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

MATCHUP PREVIEWS
HOWARD
Despite dropping their last three contests, the Bison (3-8) have won its last three games inside Burr Gymnasium. Howard gets to the charity stripe, ranking 17
th in the nation in total free throw attempts (272). Additionally, HU brings shot blockers to the Mecca, sitting top 50 in blocks per game (4.7).
Sophomore
Sarah Edmond is the lone double-digit scorer, averaging 11.7 points per game (PPG). There are five players averaging over 4.0 rebounds per game, led by senior
Tajzhane Dopson (5.1). Sophomores
Imani Bryant and
Jayla Myles each post 1.2 blocks per game.
CAMPBELL
For the third straight game, the Camels (7-3) meet a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) foe. CU scored a program-low 27 points in the loss against Norfolk State, but bounced back with 58-51 victory over North Carolina Central. Campbell's scoring defense ranks among the nation's best, holding opponents under 52 PPG.
BROWN
Brown (10-1) enters Sunday's showdown riding an eight-game winning streak. At 10-1 through 11 games, the Bears began 2015-16 with their best start since going 11-1 in 1973-74. Brown carries three of the Ivy League's top five scorers in junior guards Shayna Mehta and Taylor Will and sophomore guard Justine Gaziano.
LAST TIMEOUT
Last Tuesday (Dec. 19), HU continued its road swing in Athens, Ga., where they fell to the Georgia Bulldogs, 87-47. Sophomore
Ayonna Williams led Howard in scoring for the third consecutive game, finishing with 14 points, seven boards (team-high), two assists, and two steals.
Two days later (Dec. 21), Coach Grace and the Bison ended its three-game road swing with a loss at Mercer, 70-44. Edmond reached double-figures, finishing with a team-high 15 points.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Jan. 3, Howard begins the New Year in Tallahassee, Fla., where they will meet the Florida A&M Rattlers in their conference opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
