Howard (3-6) seeks to get back on track after watching their three-game winning streak come to a halt at Cincinnati. HU continues to rank among the country's best in getting to the charity stripe. As of Dec. 16, the Bison place 24
th in total free throw attempts (233). Defensively, the squad averages 5.4 blocks per game, which sits 26
th overall in the NCAA. Sophomore guard
Sarah Edmond pace the team with 12.0 points per contest. Freshman guard
Tariah Johnson, reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week, chips in 8.3 PPG.
Georgia (9-1) enters Tuesday's matchup riding a two-game winning streak, including a 60-53 victory over in-state rival Georgia Tech. Georgia is led by the veteran frontcourt tandem of Mackenzie Engram and Caliya Robinson. Engram leads the team with 12.7 points per game (PPG) while Robinson is second on the team (12.2 PPG).
Before Thursday's showdown, Mercer (9-2) meets conference foe South Carolina State in Macon, Ga. Currently, the Bears are on a six-game winning streak after defeating Winthrop, 93-45. This season, Mercer's ability to take care of the ball has been a difference maker as the Bears rank among the nation's best in fewest turnovers per game.

Thursday (Dec. 14), the Bison saw their three-game winning streak come to an end after an 87-53 loss at Cincinnati.
Despite shooting only 28-percent (18-of-65) from the field, 10 Bison scored in the contest. Sophomore
Ayonna Williams reached double-figures, finishing with 11 points and two dimes in the loss.
Defensively, sophomores
Jayla Myles and
Imani Bryant each recorded four blocks in a losing effort.
