Norfolk, VA---John "Jack" Fleck has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Co Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's game at Appalachian State. A 6-2, 205-pound senior from Indianapolis, IN, Fleck punted eight times and averaged a whopping 45.5 per punt, a career best. More importantly, Fleck boomed an 83 yarder that set a new school record, surpassing the old mark of 80 yards, set back in 1989 by Cedric Rawls against Indiana of PA.
Fleck also kicked a 50 yarder and hit two inside the opponents' 10-yard line.
