BOXTOROW RELEASEWASHINGTON, DC ---Â The post-season honors for James "JC" Carlton and James "J-Byrd" Daniel, III continue to roll in as acknowledgements for the duo's accomplishments this past season.
Carlton, who was a First Team All-MEAC selection, has been named to the BOXTOROW All-American Second Team while Daniel, a Second Team All-MEAC choice, was named to BOXTOROW's Third Team.
A 6-8 senior from Winterville, NC, Carlton helped lead the Bison to their best record (16-16) and highest finish in the conference (4th; 10-6) in over a decade. The transfer from College of Charleston finished second on the team in scoring (16.2) while leading the Bison in rebounding with almost 8 per game.
Daniel, a 5-11 sophomore from Hampton, VA, led Howard in scoring (16.7), assists, steals, three pointer attempted & made and in free throw shooting. Daniel became the first male player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau in his second season at Howard.
