Box Score RIVERSIDE, CA --- The Howard softball team failed to string together back-to-back wins for the first time this season after the Lady Bison were defeated, 15-0, by the University of California Riverside Highlanders on Saturday afternoon in the second day of UCR's Highlander Classic.

Howard (2-15) was shut out for the fourth time this season and only registered one hit for the third time this year.

The Lady Bison gave up a UC Riverside-record three home runs in the game as the team allowed all 15 runs to score in the first two innings.

HU will look to finish their California trip on a high note when it takes on Loyola Marymount University in the final day of the Highlander Classic on Sunday, March 8 at 12 noon Eastern.
