Box Score CHARLESTON, SC --- The Howard softball team finished its weekend run at the Charles Southern Tournament with a 13-6 loss to the University of Delaware on Sunday afternoon.
Trailing 6-0 in the bottom of the third, the Lady Bison (1-6) put together a five run inning to cut Delaware's lead to one. Howard scored its runs on four of five at-bats:
- Junior
Janessa Flynn hit a two-run double to right center;
- Sophomore
Imani Ballard laying down a RBI sacrifice bunt;
- Sophomore
Milan Poindexter drew a walk;
- Sophomore
Deja Henderson drove in a run on a ground out;
- Sophomore
Rejanae Brooks hit a RBI single to right center.
Delaware responded in short order though, posting four more runs in the top of the fourth to effectively put the game out of reach. Between the fourth and seventh innings, the Blue Hens scored seven runs while Howard only managed one additional run - sophomore

The Blue Hens were assisted by season-high eight errors by the Lady Bison.
NEXT UP: Howard begins an 11-game stretch on the road in California with a four-game appearance in the Santa Clara Marriott Invitational. The Lady Bison open player against host Santa Clara on February 27 at 8 p.m. Eastern.
