TOWSON, MD --- In its second to last non-conference doubleheader of the season, the Howard softball team was shut out in a pair of games against Towson University on Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Bison fell to the Tigers 6-0 in the fist game and 8-0 in the second.

Howard (2-30) suffered consecutive shutout losses for the fourth time this season and the first time against the same opponent. Towson improved to 22-17 on the season.

HU will be home for four of its final five games, being with a three-game MEAC series against Morgan State University, beginning on Friday, April 18.
