NORFOLK, VA --- Despite an early lead, the Howard softball team lost the final game of a three game set with Norfolk State University, 11-2, on Friday evening at the NSU Softball Field.

The Lady Bison's record dropped to 1-26 after their 26th straight defeat and fell to 0-9 in MEAC conference play. NSU improved to 14-16 and 8-1 in conference.

Howard took advantage of a pair of Spartan errors as juniors Al'Asia Davis and Jenny Ly scored HU's runs in the second inning to take a 2-0 lead over NSU.

However, Norfolk State answered strongly in the next three innings - five runs in the third (including a two-run inside the park home run), four runs in fourth, and two more in the fifth.

?HU will look to end its winning drought this weekend when the Lady Bison take on Hampton University for a three game road slate on April 12 & 13
