WINTER HAVEN, FL --- Playing in their first two contests in the annual Rebel Spring Games, the Howard softball team struggled on offense and lost their games against Bucknell University and Siena College.

BUCKNELL 7, HOWARD 0
The Lady Bison were only able to muster one hit in its second straight shutout loss. The lone bright spot was the pitching of sophomore Dominique Lawrence, who had four strikeouts while allowing two runs and three walks in 2 innings.

The opposing Bison took an early lead in the second thanks to a four-run second inning and added three others in the fifth and sixth.

SIENA 12, HOWARD 1
Sophomore infielder Jasmine Gammons provided the only run for the Bison, a solo home run in the second to cut HU's deficit to 5-1 after the Saints' five run opening inning.
 
Howard's next two games at RSG are South Dakota (9:00 am) and a rematch with Siena (11:00 am) on Tuesday, March 11.
