AMES, IA --- The Howard women's basketball team (1-11) will look to break its current three-game losing streak when the Lady Bison face Iowa State in ISU's annual Cyclone Challenge (December 29, 8:30 p.m. ET).

"STARTING FIVE" POINTS

- Howard and Iowa State have only faced each other one other time - in the 2001 NCAA Tournament, a 100-61 loss for the Lady Bison.
- Redshirt sophomore guard Te'Shya Heslip leads HU in points (15.9), rebounds (5.2) and assists (5.4).
- Along with Heslip, senior forward Cheyenne Brown (11.6 PPG) and sophomore forward Sydni Johnson (10.9 PPG) are scoring in double figures for the Lady Bison.
- After tonight's game, Howard will have two more non-conference matchups - tomorrow's game against Brown or UC Riverside and a road matchup vs Cornell on January 7.
- A victory in one of HU's final three non-conference games will be its first of the season
