WASHINGTON, DC Â --- The Howard University women's basketball team will play its first home game of the season on Tuesday, November 18 at 5 p.m. in Burr Gymnasium when the Lady Bison host the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. In addition to being Howard's home opener, the contest will serve as the Lady Bison's Alzheimer's Awareness Game. Fans are asked to wear either Bison Blue or PURPLE to the game.
Howard (0-1) will be looking for its first win of the season after falling, 49-83, to No. 13 North Carolina in Chapel Hill on November 14. Senior forward
Cheyenne Brown had a double-double in the UNC game with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
New Hampshire will try and spoil the festivities to earn its second win the year. The Wildcats defeated NJIT, 61-56 in their season opener.
