BALTIMORE (April 8, 2026) — Howard University women's tennis team extended its win streak to three matches after a 7-0 victory over Coppin State (CSU) in Baltimore.
With the win, HU moved to 4-1 in league play.
In doubles competition, junior
Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and DMV native
Camille Hall (Bowie, Md.) served as the squad's top doubles team where they defeated CSU's Brandy Babcock-Hannah and Saphirre Ferguson, 6-1.
Third-year Bison
Lauren Oliver (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and rookie standout
Franchesca Brown (Atlanta) knocked off Coppin State's Abigail Perue and Sirena Singh in the doubles No. 2 slot, 6-2.
Junior
Dana Hall (Miami) and freshman
Chloe Goins (Burr Ridge, Ill.) competed the doubles sweep by default.
HU continued its dominance into singles play, winning all six matches.
Jean competed in the No. 1 singles position, outlasting Babcock-Hannah in three sets (7-5, 4-6, 1-0).
Brown, D. Hall, Oliver and lone senior
Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis) all won their respective singles contests in straight sets.
Goins won her singles match by default.
On April 11, HU heads to Annapolis, Md., to play Navy. Match time at 11 a.m.
