ANNAPOLIS, Md. (April 11, 2026) - Howard University women's tennis picked up a doubles victory, but ultimately, fell short in a 4-0 road loss to Navy Saturday morning at Fluegel-Moore Tennis Stadium.

Howard moves to 5-10 on the season while Navy improves to 19-5.

In doubles play, the Bison secured a win at the No. 2 position as freshman Franchesca Brown (Atlanta) and junior Lauren Oliver (Winston-Salem, N.C.) earned a 6-3 victory. The duo continues to be a consistent force for Howard, leading the team with a 6-3 record together this season.

Navy; however, claimed wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to secure the doubles point.

In singles competition, three matches went unfinished as play was halted once Navy clinched the team victory. At the top spots, Brown, junior Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and freshman Camille Hall (Bowie, Md.) were all in competitive matches before they were stopped.

The Mids sealed the match with straight set wins at the bottom of the lineup. Junior Dana Hall (Miami) competed at No. 4 singles while senior Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis) and freshman Chloe Goins (Burr Ridge, Ill.) battled at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
