WASHINGTON (April 3, 2026) — Howard University women's tennis team extended its win streak Friday afternoon, defeating MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) rival Delaware State (DSU), 5-2, at the Southeast Tennis & Learning Center in D.C.

Despite junior Imani Jean (Brookyln, N.Y.) rookie Camille Hall (Bowie, Md.) winning their doubles contest, 6-3, the Bison trailed the match, 1-0, heading into singles competition. DSU (2-10, 1-3 MEAC) won the other two doubles match to grab the upper hand.

In singles play, freshman standout Franchesca Brown (Atlanta) edged out the Lady Hornets' Catherine Goldman in three sets (6-4, 4-6. 6-3).

Third-year Bison Lauren Oliver (Winston-Salem, N.C.) also won her singles match in the No. 6 slot, knocking off Delaware State's Maite Bou Safont (6-7, 6-3, 1-0).

Hall and fellow classmate Chloe Goins (Burr Ridge, Ill.) came away victorious in singles play, winning their respective contests in straight sets.

Junior Dana Hall (Miami) earned the fifth point by retirement from DSU's Sia Mahajan.

Jean, the Bison's top singles player, dropped a tough three-set bout to the Lady Hornets' Lucia Casas Blas (1-6, 7-5, 2-6).
