RICHMOND, Va. (April 10, 2026) – Howard University men's tennis team fell on the road at Richmond (UR), 4-0.
UR took an early 1-0 match lead after winning a pair of doubles contests.
Third-year Bison
Michael Major Jr (Nassau, Bahamas) and sophomore
Kamran McIntosh-Ross (Atlanta) represented HU as the squad's top doubles team where their match was ruled unfinished.
In singles competition, the Spiders won three contests in straight sets.
Major, fellow classmate
Shawn Mitchell Yon (Queens, N.Y.) and newcomer
Alexander Monagan Natchez, Miss.) all saw their respective singles matches ruled unfinished.
Sunday (April 12), Howard wraps up its nonconference slate at Navy. Match time is set for 12:30 p.m., in Annapolis, Md.
