ORLANDO, Fla. (March 11, 2026) – Howard University freshman
Franchesca Brown (Atlanta) won her singles match, but the women's tennis team fell to rival Hampton, 6-1, in a neutral site match in Orlando, Fla.
Brown competed in the No. 2 singles slot, defeating the Pirates' Tanya Midzi in straight sets (7-5, 6-2).

Lauren Oliver (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and rookie
Camille Hall (Bowie, Md.) each dropped three-set singles matchups.
Hall and junior
Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) represented Bison Nation as the club's top doubles team, knocking off Hampton's Midzi and Toffee Ghorab, 6-2.
Hampton (4-3) took an early 1-0 match lead into singles play after winning the other two doubles contests.
On March 19, Howard (1-7) goes crosstown to face George Washington. Match time is slated for 11 a.m.
