23 Bison Selected to the MEAC Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team

NORFOLK, Va. (February 20, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its men's and women's indoor track & field all-academic honors where Howard University saw 23 Bison acknowledged for their academic excellence inside the classroom. The announcement came Friday morning.
 
To be eligible, MEAC sophomores, juniors and seniors must hold a cumulative 3.0 grade point average or higher. Transfer student-athletes must have at least one year of residence at their respective institutions to be eligible.
 
This year's recipients included Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas), Jorim Bangue (Yaounde, Cameroon), Cenaiya Billups (Denver), Brooke Cochran (Silver Spring, Md.), Drew Dillard (Silver Spring, Md.), Jayvian Greene (Gainesville, Fla.), Kinnidi Hampton (Rowlette, Texas), Benjamin Hilliard (Indianapolis), Kobe Hutson (Bridgetown, Barbados), Lindsay Johnson (Detroit), Tarike Lavine (Bridgetown, Barbados), Yahnari Lyons (Hampton, Ga.), Emerson McKindra (Linden, N.J.), Sanaa Morris (Bermuda), Tiffany Mugubi (Houston), Ija Mumford (Winston-Salem, N.C.), Chloe Poindexter (State College, Pa.), Mackenzie Robinson (Ypsilanti, Mich.), Sarah Seam (Gaithersburg, Md.), Lauren Thompson (Frisco, Texas), Zoe Turner (Mableton, Ga.), Jasmen Walker (Flossmoor, Ill.) and Solomon Young (Charlotte, N.C.).
 
Collectively, the league honored 162 student-athletes from its elite eight member institutions for their outstanding academic achievements during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
"Congratulations to our indoor track & field All-Academic student-athletes," MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills said. "Education is the cornerstone of everything we do, both at the conference level and in intercollegiate athletics as a whole. Academic achievement is just as worthy of praise as anything accomplished in competition, if not more so."
 
On Feb. 22-23, Howard is set to compete in the MEAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, taking place in Virginia Beach, Va.
