WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (February 14, 2026) — The Howard University women's tennis team fell at William & Mary (6-1) a part of a weekend slate in Virginia.
Despite the competition's outcome, freshman
Franchesca Brown (Atlanta) delivered a strong performance in singles play with a three-set victory over the Tribes' Tilda Larsson (6-3,6-7, 10-8). After splitting the first two sets, the Atlanta native earned a third-set tiebreak and secure the lone point for Howard.
Junior
Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) fought hard in the top singles position with a close loss against William & Mary's Sia Chaudry (6-4, 7-5).
Freshman
Camille Hall (Bowie, Md.) also battled in her third-flight singles match (6-1, 6-4).
William & Mary secure the remainder of singles and doubles matches, resulting in their 6-1 victory.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Both squads face the UDC Friday (Feb. 20) at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation's East Capitol Campus.
