NORFOLK, Va. (January 28, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's track & field weekly awards where Howard University sophomore sprinter Tiffany Mugubi (Houston) grabbed the league's Track Athlete of the Week. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Houston product finished fourth in the 800-meter run at the 2026 Penn 10 Elite (Jan. 24), setting a MEAC-best and school-record time of 2:07.44, which currently ranks 28^th nationally.
 
North Carolina Central senior Tia Lucas earned MEAC Field Athlete of the Week.
 
HU gears up for a pair of meets: Penn Invitational (Jan. 30), hosted by the Quakers, and Bob Pollock Invitational (Jan. 30-31), hosted by the Clemson Tigers.
