NORMAL, Ala. (August 24, 2025) – Howard University women's soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 setback at Alabama A&M (AAMU) in Normal, Ala.
Despite outshooting the Bulldogs, 16-11, HU was unable to get on the board.
Danija Walker scored the lone goal (16') to put AAMU ahead and Adriana Durango kept Howard off the board with eight saves.
Nine different Bison took a shot in the contest, led by midfielders
Samantha James (Herndon, Va.) and
Leah Williams (Ellicott City, Md.) with three shot attempts apiece.
Third-year goalie
Trinity Knox (Atlanta) posted seven saves in 90 minutes of work.
Howard (1-2) hits the road again Thursday (Aug. 28) to face American in D.C. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
