WASHINGTON (June 11, 2025) – Howard University senior journalism major
Sareyah Rudd continued the senior spotlight series, sitting down with D.C. native and two-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Champion
Darius Fox for a quick Q & A session.
Q: What is your favorite memory at Howard?
A: My favorite memory would definitely have to be winning our second MEAC championship because it was an outright title. Also, after being told that we had class rings for our previous one.
Q: What or who will you miss at Howard?
A: I will miss the time spent with my teammates. Yeah, football is extremely fun but it is the times off the field like in the locker room, bus road trips and team dinners that really built a bond.
Q: What advice would you give future Bison?
A: Take it one day at a time, find someone on the team that models what you want to be on and off field and just pick their brain about things that can propel you during your Howard journey.
Q: What is your favorite part about football?
A: My favorite part about Howard Football was the family aspect. Every year, college football has become more like a business because of NIL (Name, Image & Likeness) and coaches might not care as much for the person over the player. Here, everyone was like a brother and someone I could invest myself into as I would my own family members.
Q: Who would you like to thank?
A: I just want to thank God, of course, for allowing me the opportunity to play football.
I want to thank my parents for investing countless hours of their time to practices, games and workouts.
Lastly, I would like to thank
Larry Scott (Howard Football head coach) and the rest of the staff for taking a chance on me. They were my only offer coming out of high school.
