ANNAPOLIS, Md. (April 18, 2025) – Howard University women's tennis team saw its three-match win streak come to a halt, falling on the road at Navy, 7-0, in Annapolis.
With the setback, HU dropped to 8-8 overall while the Mids improved to 16-11 on the season.
Navy took the early match lead, 1-0, winning all three doubles contests.
In singles competition, junior
Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis) and
Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) fell short in their respective match with three-set losses.
Navy won the other four singles matches in straight sets.
Howard concludes its regular season Saturday (April 19) with Coppin State. Match time is set for 3 p.m., at the Banneker Recreation Center in D.C. Before the contest, five Bison will be recognized for their hard work and dedication to the program.
