NORFOLK, Va. (April 16, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its men's and women's track & field weekly awards where Howard University sweep all four honors. The announcement came Wednesday.
Graduates
Noah Langford (Virginia Beach, Va.) and
Ariana Smith (Pennsville, N.J.) won Track Athletes of the Week while senior
Kyle Fisher (Duluth, Ga.) and junior
Temi Banwo (Allen, Texas) claimed Field Athletes of the Week.
Langford took third overall in the 100-meter hurdles at the Duke Invite (April 11-12), clocking in at 13.98, which ranks second in the league.
Smith won silver in the 400-meter hurdles in Raleigh, running a MEAC-best 57.14, which sits 14
th in the country.
Fisher claimed second in the long jump with a league-best 7.45 meters.
Banwo earned sixth place in the shot put, registering a conference-best 13.51 meters.
The Bison will travel further south to the University of Florida for the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, hosted by the Gators (April 18-19). This will be the program's second stint in Florida this outdoor season.
