COLLEGE PARK, Md., RALEIGH, N.C. & AUSTIN, Texas (March 29, 2025) – Howard University men's track & field squad shined across three states in the United States, competing in the Texas Relays (March 27-29), Maryland Invitational (March 29) and Raleigh Relays (March 27-29).
TEXAS RELAYS
On the track, graduate
Noah Langford (Virginia Beach, Va.), sophomore
Emerson McKindra (Linden, N.J.) and newcomers
Cameron Brazell (Houston) and
Elijah Grant (Fort Mills, S.C.) represented Bison Nation in the 4x400 relay, earning second place with a 3:05.49 mark.
In the field, seniors
Chase Drewery (Waldorf, Md.) and
Kyle Fisher (Duluth, Ga.) took part in the triple jump, placing second (15.31 meters) and fourth (15.15 meters), respectively.
MARYLAND INVITE
On the track in Raleigh, seniors
Ezekiel Hawkins (Lithonia, Ga.) and
Amon-Ra Watkins (Bronx, N.Y.) finished second (15.06) and fifth (15.60), respectively, in the short hurdles (110-meter).
In the field events, junior
Andre Prince (Windsor, Conn.) and rookies
Solomon Young (Charlotte, N.C.) and
Tarike Lavine (Bridgetown, Barbados) competed in the hammer where they landed third (50.59 meters), fifth (44.82 meters) and eighth (38.91 meters), respectively.
Prince and freshman
Benjamin Hilliard (Indianapolis) participated in the javelin, earning sixth (37.64 meters) and seventh (23.34 meters), respectively.
RALEIGH RELAYS
Second-year Bison
Jordan Good (Burlington, N.C.) was the lone Bison competing for the men. The Tar Heel native ran 1:51.79 in the 800-meter race.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The program is set to host the Bison Classic in D.C., along with Gallaudet University Saturday (April 5).
