SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (March 16, 2025) – Second-year Bison Mitchell Yon (Queens, N.Y.) scored the Howard University men's tennis team lone point in the loss at Bucknell, 6-1, in South Williamsport, Pa.
 
Despite the team's setback, Yon extended his singles win streak to four after defeating Bucknell's Felix Steindl in three sets (4-6, 6-2, 10-2).
 
Graduate Hassimiyou Dieng (Dakar, Senegal) dropped a tough three-set bout to Bucknell's Shiv Singh (4-6, 6-2, 8-10).
 
Bucknell (10-5) won the other four singles matches in straight sets.
 
In doubles competition, Bucknell swept all three matchups.
 
Saturday (March 22), Howard returns to The District, hosting Wagner College at the Banneker Recreation Center. First serve at 2 p.m.
