PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. (February 5, 2025) – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) uncovered its Fall Scholar All-America Team where Howard University men's & women's programs were acknowledged for their academic excellence during the 2024 fall semester. The announcement came Monday (Feb. 3).
To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a minimum 3.0 grade point average (GPA) during the 2024 fall semester.
"I'm so proud of our program," said Howard Director of Swimming & Diving
Nicholas Askew. "Our young men and women continue to display academic excellence inside the classroom while performing at a high level in the pool. They exemplify what it means to be a Howard University student-athlete."
In the spring semester, the men and women posted 3.07 and 3.62 GPAs, respectively.
Collectively, the CSCAA recognized 19,209 student-athletes based on their outstanding academic performances during the fall semester. The selection was made of 781 teams, including 654 squads with a 3.30 GPA or above, from 459 institutions throughout the country.

Samantha Barany. "It is inspiring to see student-athletes excel both in the pool and in the classroom. The CSCAA takes great pride in honoring and celebrating their dedication and achievements."
On Feb. 19-22, Howard goes to Geneva, Ohio for the Northeast Conference Championships.
