BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (February 5, 2025) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) revealed its men's and women's swimming & diving weekly accolades where Howard University saw a pair of Bison recognized for their outstanding performances versus crosstown rival Catholic. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
Senior
Jordynn Connell (Flower Mound, Texas) won NEC Women's Diver of the Week while freshman
Zion Wilson (San Antonio) received Men's Diver of the Week.
Saturday (Feb. 1), Connell was the top finisher for the Bison in both diving events, scoring 239.35 points (1-meter) and 199.60 points (3-meter), respectively.
Wilson also swept the competition, earning first in both diving events with scores of 222.25 points (1-meter) and 224.15 points (3-meter).

Zuilda Nwaeze (Columbia, Md.) and second-year Bison
Jack Barr (Naussa, Bahamas) were named to the NEC Prime Performers list.
On the men's side, Wagner's Adrian Moreno Andres won NEC Swimmer of the Week while LIU's Finn Drysdale claimed Rookie of the Week.
For the women, LIU's Laura Garcia Marin took home Swimmer of the Week and Mia Goodale earned Rookie of the Week.
On Feb. 19-22, Howard goes to Geneva, Ohio for the NEC Championships.
