CHICAGO (February 15, 2025) – Howard University men's track & field team competed in its final tune-up before championship season at the Windy City Invite, hosted by the Wisconsin Badgers.
The 4x400 relay squad of graduate
Noah Langford (Virginia Beach, Va.), sophomore
Emerson McKindra (Linden, N.J.) and rookies
Elijah Grant (Fort Mill, S.C.) and
Cameron Brazell (Houston) led the way, winning the race with a 3:09.64 time.
Individually, McKindra ran in the 400-meter dash where he placed fourth overall with a 47.97 mark.
Graduate sprinter
Goba Dan-Princewill (Houston) claimed sixth in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 21.51.
In the field, DMV native senior
Chase Drewery (Waldorf, Md.) won the triple jump after leaping nearly 50 feet (15.15 meters). Fellow classmates
Kyle Fisher (Duluth, Ga.) and
Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) also took part, landing fifth (14.83 meters) and seventh (14.13 meters), respectively, on the leaderboard.
Junior
Andre Prince (Windsor, Conn.) finished eighth in the weight throw, tossing over 56 feet (17.15 meters).
On Feb. 23-24, Howard goes to Virginia Beach, Va., for the 2025 MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Indoor Track & Field Championships.
