UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (February 15, 2025) – Howard University women's tennis team won its second straight match with a shutout victory over crosstown rival UDC (University of District of Columbia) at Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro, Md.
 
HU opened the evening with three wins in doubles competition.
 
Senior 
Nadia Pegram (Naples, Fla.) and reigning MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Rookie of the Year sophomore 
Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) represented Bison Nation in the top spot, knocking off UDC's Desire Parn and Polina Zelentsova, 6-3.
 
Senior 
Jordan Grayson (Gaithersburg, Md.) and second-year Bison 
Ava Chambers (Wellington, Fla.) took down the Firebirds' Ceclia Bastin and Claudia Bahamon Lopez, 6-3.
 
Junior 
Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis) and sophomore 
Dana Hall (Miami) rolled past UDC's Lina Benjelloun and Nadja Zmukic, 6-1.
 
Jean, Pegram and senior 
Sifa Butcher (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) each won their respective singles contests in straight sets.
 
Next up, Howard (2-3) plays back-to-back matches against Mount St. Mary's (Feb. 21) and Longwood (Feb. 22), respectively.
