NORFOLK, Va. (February 13, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its women's track & field weekly awards where Howard University saw junior thrower
Temi Banwo (Allen, Texas) win the league's Field Athlete of the Week. The announcement came Thursday.
Banwo shined at the Penn Classic in Philadelphia, hosted by the Quakers, tossing 14.19 meters in the shot put, which sits second in the MEAC.

Tiffany Mugubi (Houston) earned honorable mention after finishing third in the 800-meter run, clocking in at a MEAC-best 2:12.17.
North Carolina Central sophomore Melanne Sutton was selected MEAC Track Athlete of the Week.
On Feb. 14-15, HU goes to the Windy City (Chicago) for the annual Wisconsin Windy City Invite, hosted by the Badgers.
