WASHINGTON (November 8, 2025) – Redshirt junior
Zoe Stewart (Terre Haute, Ind.) scored a team-high 15 points to lead four players in double figures as the Howard University women's basketball team cruised to an easy 89-53 win over Florida A&M University (FAMU) in a nonconference clash inside The Burr.
All 11 players scored who suited up, led by Stewart connecting on 6-of-8 from the floor. Junior guard
Destiny Bynum-Johnson (Newark, N.J.) contributed 11 points and six rebounds while freshman guard
Emma Nuquay (Waldorf, Md.) and junior forward
Rayne Durant (New Haven, Conn.) each tallied 10 off the bench.
Senior forward
Nile Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) grabbed 12 rebounds.
For the game, Howard shot 46-percent (32-of-70) from the field while dominating the glass, 56-38, and 18 assists on 32 baskets.
The Bison, who are off to a 2-0 record, held Florida A&M to under 30-percent shoot (20-of-67) from the floor and surrendered 23 points off turnovers.
FAMU (0-2) was led by Niah Rhodes, who led all scorers with 16 points and Aina Subirats contributed 12 points off the bench.
NEXT UP: Howard will look to keep its unbeaten record alive when it travels crosstown to take on Geore Washington University Tuesday (Nov. 11) at 7 p.m., in the Smith Center.
