No. 5 Duke Tops Men’s Hoops

Bison unable to slow down Blue Devils

DURHAM, N.C. (November 23, 2025) —Graduate guard Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) scored a team-high 15 points and sophomore forward Travelle Bryson (Anderson, S.C.) tallied 13 points off the bench but it was not enough to match up with the No. 5 Duke Blue Devils, who rolled to an easy 93-56 win over the Howard University men's basketball team in a nonconference contest at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The game was part of The Brotherhood Run, which featured Niagara, Duke and Howard whose head coaches all played for the Blue Devils program.

Duke (7-0) bolted out to a 52-18 halftime lead and never looked back.

The Blue Devils showed why they are ranked among the nation's best as they held the Bison to 30-percent shooting from the floor (17-of-56), 33-percent from three (7-of-21) while they were successful on 61-percent shooting from the floor (36-of-59).

Duke owned the boards, outrebounding the visitors, 43-26.

Harris, the team's leading scorer, was 3-of-10 from the floor, but 8-of-10 from the charity stripe. He has reached double figures in all seven games this season.

Freshman guard BJ Powell (Charlotte, N.C.) chipped in with 8 points in a losing effort.

The Blue Devils were led by freshman forward Cameron Boozer with a game-high 26 points and 12 rebounds. Junior forward Patrick Ngongba registered 16 points and two blocks and Isaiah Evens added 11 points. Overall, 10 different players scored for Duke.
