MATCHUP PREVIEW

HOWARD (5-4-2, 3-0-1 NEC)

Howard enters Thursday's contest riding a three-game win streak and remains unbeaten in NEC play. In their last outing, the Bison edged Delaware State (DSU), 3-2, at Greene Stadium.

Gabriella Garcia-Terrell (Centreville, Va.), the reigning NEC Co-Player of the Week, scored twice—once in the seventh minute and again via penalty kick in the 30th—to build an early lead.

After halftime, Demi Owens (Teaneck, N.J.) pushed the margin to 3-0 off an assist from Maya Blackston (Alexandria, Va.).

Delaware State surged late with two goals in five minutes, but the Bison defense held firm.

Howard outshot DSU, 20-7, including 14-7 on goal. Garcia-Terrell finished with four shots, three on frame. Freshman Sienna Hamilton-Grein (Upper Marlboro, Md.) tallied four saves in net.

Howard continues to lead the NEC in total goals and shot volume and will look to maintain that offensive pressure on the road.

LE MOYNE (0-9-3, 0-2-2 NEC)

Le Moyne remains in search of its first win in NEC play. The Dolphins narrowly lost to Mercyhurst, 1-0, in their last match, surrendering the game-winning goal in the 87th minute. The Dolphins controlled much of the first half with Lindsey LeBlanc firing multiple shots and forcing three early saves. Logan Cookinham and Giovanna Vigliotti also created several dangerous opportunities and Le Moyne outshot Mercyhurst in the opening half while holding them without a shot attempt.

Goalkeeper Mikayla McPheron posted three second half saves to keep the game level until the late concession.

Le Moyne continues to create chances and show flashes of control but has struggled to convert opportunities into goals. They will look to tighten up late-game defense and capitalize on home field against a high-scoring Howard team.

LAST TIMEOUT

Howard defeated Delaware State, 3-2, at home while Le Moyne fell, 1-0, to Mercyhurst after conceding in the final minutes.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

The Bison return to Greene Stadium Sunday (Oct. 12) to host Stonehill College at 1
p.m. The match will also stream live on NEC Front Row and designated as Goalie Savings Day.
